Reports: Chinese Air Bridge to Iran Raises Regional Concerns

SadaNews - Unconfirmed reports, as conveyed by Defense Arabic and Maariv newspaper, state that China has implemented a rapid military air bridge to Iran, involving nearly 16 military cargo planes within a short period not exceeding 56 hours.

Despite the lack of official confirmation, these news have raised widespread questions about the nature of China's role in the Middle East, and whether this move could redraw the confrontation balance between Iran and Israel.

The scale of activity and the speed of execution, if the information is accurate, is viewed as a significant development in a region experiencing rising regional tensions.

In this context, General Brad Cooper, Commander of the U.S. Central Command, arrived in the region on Saturday evening, elevating the state of readiness in the Middle East in general, and in Israel in particular, amid ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Israeli security sources attempted to alleviate concerns, asserting that General Cooper's visits to Tel Aviv are not exceptional but rather part of a series of regular meetings aimed at maintaining close military coordination. The Israeli army clarified that the nighttime visit was a short stop during a regional tour linked to the complexities facing the U.S. administration in Syria.
