A Delegation from Hamas Leadership Meets with the Head of Turkish Intelligence in Istanbul

SadaNews - A delegation from the Hamas movement leadership met on Saturday with the head of Turkish intelligence, Ibrahim Kalin, in Istanbul. The delegation was headed by the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Khalil al-Hayya, and included the head of the movement in the occupied West Bank, Zaher Jabarin, leader Mahmoud Mardawe and the movement's representative in Turkey, Mousa Aqqari. The Hamas delegation discussed with Kalin the second phase of the agreement to end the war and the completion of the requirements of the first phase. According to a statement from Hamas, the two sides agreed to continue mutual consultation and coordination regarding ending the suffering of our people, starting the work of the national committee for managing the Gaza Strip, reopening the Rafah crossing in both directions, and providing what is necessary for the relief and shelter of our people, while reaffirming the constants of our Palestinian people. The Hamas delegation expressed its gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his efforts in reaching the war-ending agreement, as stated in a Hamas statement on Saturday evening. Hamas called in a statement on Friday for the "Peace Council" to "assume its responsibility to stop the occupation’s violations and hold it accountable for the obligations of the agreement, primarily the entry of aid and shelter necessities, and the initiation of relief and reconstruction, to protect our people from the consequences of the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the occupation, especially in light of Gaza experiencing waves of rain and severe cold." It emphasized its adherence and commitment to the ceasefire agreement, amidst continuous violations of its terms by the occupation around the clock, in an attempt to disrupt it and impede the work of the national committee, contrary to what was announced regarding American arrangements and guarantees.
