In Pictures.. How Kushner Will Transform Gaza into a Promising Economic Center After Its Reconstruction
SadaNews - Jared Kushner, son-in-law and adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, revealed details of the "Master Plan for Gaza" during his participation in the launch of the Peace Council at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Kushner indicated that the plan aims to achieve full employment in the sector and prepare it to become a promising economic center through developmental phases including infrastructure, housing, and investment opportunities.
According to the plan, more than $25 billion will be injected by 2035, and a conference will be held in Washington in the coming weeks to announce the contributions of countries for the reconstruction of Gaza.
The plan calls for the construction of a new port and airport, along with a network of trains and circular and main roads to connect the cities of the sector.
Kushner explained that the goal is to raise Gaza's economy over 10 years to more than $10 billion and to increase the average household income in the sector to exceed $13,000 annually.
Kushner revealed a "Master Plan" for Gaza's future, along with a supporting map.

Kushner stated in his speech that the plan was based on "some demolition followed by the construction of a new Gaza, which can be a source of hope and can turn into a destination in itself," explaining that it would include "many industrial sectors, making it a place where people can truly prosper, with strong job opportunities."
He said that the implementation of the plan would occur in phases, including housing for the workforce, achieving a 100% employment rate, and "providing opportunities for all."
Kushner added: "We asked people what our alternative plan was."
He continued: "We did not have an alternative plan; we had one plan. We had signed an agreement, and we were all committed to making this agreement succeed."
He went on: "There was a master plan. We were going to implement it in stages in the Middle East. They were building cities this way, housing two or three million people, and constructing them in three years. So things like these were very feasible if we decided to achieve them."
During his talk, slides appeared behind him on the screen.

Kushner concluded his speech with a call, after saying he had seen "many people trying to escalate."
He said: "Just calm down for 30 days."
He added: "I thought the war was over, so let’s do our best to work together. Our goal here was to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinian people."
He continued: "Everyone wanted to live in peace, and everyone wanted to live with dignity. So let’s direct our efforts towards supporting those who were working to build this future."
Key Details of the Plan:
Each area will be reconstructed only after verifying the removal of all weapons from that area. The goal is to ensure that reconstruction is linked to the complete disarmament of Hamas.
According to the plan presented to Peace Council members, a large portion of the Gaza coastline will be designated for beach tourism, including 180 towers intended for residential and commercial use.
It pointed out that the interior regions of the sector will be divided into residential areas and large industrial complexes covering 25 square kilometers, including data centers and production facilities.
Regions and Reconstruction Activities:
1- Rafah Area (Southern Gaza Strip)

Starting phase: The first area where reconstruction is launched.
Includes: Removing rubble, providing shelter, and offering humanitarian aid.
2- Central and Northern Regions
They will be built progressively after the completion of disarmament and security checks in each sector.
Includes: Building residential areas for the workforce, industrial areas, ports, and an airport.
Disarmament
Heavy weapons: To be withdrawn immediately from each area before any construction.
Small arms: To be collected sector by sector by a new Palestinian police force.
The Fate of Hamas Fighters:
Some will receive amnesty, reintegration, or safe passage.
Others may be integrated into the new police force after thorough security vetting by Israel and the United States.
After the disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw to a security perimeter surrounding Gaza.
Humanitarian Relief and Preparation:
First 100 days: Focus on humanitarian assistance, providing shelter, and removing rubble.
Demolition work has already started to make way for new construction.
Infrastructure and Economic Reforms:
Establishment of residential areas for the workforce.
Creation of industrial zones.
Construction of a port and airport.
Implementation of free market principles similar to U.S. policies.
Achieving full employment over several years if the plan succeeds.
Investment and International Support
International investment conference in Washington in the coming weeks to fund projects with the participation of the private sector.
Following Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump took the stage, praising the plan and emphasizing Gaza's geographic importance, saying: "Gaza is a beautiful piece of land by the sea, and it can become a great place if properly invested in. Those living in difficult conditions now could enjoy a much better life, and it all starts with the location."
This announcement comes at a time when tensions continue in the Gaza Strip, despite the announcement of a ceasefire, and with international questions about the chances of success for the plan amid the existing political and security complexities.
