8 Arab and Islamic Countries Announce Their Joining the Council of Peace

SadaNews - The foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Arab Republic of Egypt welcomed the invitation directed to their country's leaders by U.S. President Donald Trump to join the Council of Peace.

The ministers announced their joint decision for their countries to join the Council of Peace. Each country will sign the accession documents according to its relevant legal procedures and other necessary measures, including the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates, which had previously announced their accession.

The ministers reiterated their countries' support for the peace efforts led by President Trump and affirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of the Council of Peace's mission as a transitional body, as outlined in the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, and as adopted by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire, supporting the reconstruction of Gaza, and advancing towards a just and lasting peace based on fulfilling the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their state in accordance with international law, paving the way for the achievement of security and stability for all countries and peoples of the region.
