Trump Exploits Davos Forum to Renew His Threats and Accusations Against Various Countries Worldwide

SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump leveled direct and indirect criticisms and warnings at many during his speech at the Davos Economic Forum on Wednesday, including Europe, NATO, China, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Iran, and others.

Trump called for immediate negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement regarding the acquisition of Greenland, confirming that he would not use force in his pursuit of control over the island, indicating that Europe, on the other hand, is not heading in the right direction.

He stated during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos: "I seek immediate negotiations to discuss the United States' acquisition of Greenland."

He pointed out that the United States alone is capable of protecting Greenland and that the urgent need for negotiations is unrelated to rare minerals.

He continued: "Without the United States, the economies of European countries would not remain as they are today and would have faced destruction, and many countries have amassed immense wealth because of the United States."

He noted that "every NATO ally must be able to defend its territory," adding, "We are a superpower, much stronger than people realize."

Trump criticized Denmark, describing it as an "ungrateful" country for refusing to cede Greenland, claiming that Denmark owes the United States for defending it during World War II.

He elaborated: "Denmark fell to Germany after only six hours of fighting and was completely unable to defend itself or Greenland. Therefore, the United States had to intervene, and we did so."

He expressed regret over the United States' decision at that time to allow Denmark to keep Greenland as a territory. He wondered: "How foolish were we to do that? But we did it, and we gave it back to them. How ungrateful are they now?"

He told European leaders: "But for us, you would be speaking German and a little Japanese; we were foolish to return Greenland to Denmark, but they have become ungrateful to us."

He added: "We want it (Greenland) not for rare minerals, but for national security and global security; it is a massive unprotected island and part of North America, the northern front of the western hemisphere, making it an essential part of U.S. national security interests."

He noted that "there is no trace of Denmark in Greenland; only the United States can protect this massive piece of ice." He mentioned that he seeks "immediate talks for the acquisition of Greenland, as we have acquired territories in our past history."

"Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran"

Trump spoke about an issue with the "Hezbollah" group in Lebanon, saying: "We will see what happens there." At the same time, he noted that "Hamas will commit to disarmament, otherwise we will remove them from the face of the earth."

Regarding the U.S. strikes targeting nuclear facilities in Iran, the President stated: "We have completed our work on Iran, and that is why we achieved peace in the Middle East."

"The Economic Engine of the World"

The U.S. President said in his speech that the United States is the economic engine of the world, and as it rises, the rest of the world rises, and it deteriorates if it deteriorates, indicating that he brings great news from America encapsulated in the fact that the economy is flourishing and growth is on the rise.

He added: "I love Europe, but it is not heading in the right direction," noting that the United States has recorded the fastest economic transformation in its history.

He pointed out that the U.S. economy suffered, during the administration of former President Joe Biden, from high inflation that led to a slowdown in growth before undergoing a clear reversal over the past twelve months.

Trump clarified that "the core inflation rate was 1.6% three months ago, while the economy recorded growth of 5.4% in the last quarter, exceeding prevailing expectations, including his own."

He also stated that the U.S. stock market reached its highest valuation ever.

He continued: "The conventional wisdom in Washington and European capitals used to say that achieving growth in a modern Western economy comes through increasing government spending and opening borders to immigrants without restrictions.. the prevailing consensus was that polluting heavy industries should be transferred elsewhere and that countries could become strong and prosperous by importing populations from distant areas."

Trump believes that this was the recipe followed by Joe Biden and some European countries, turning their backs on what makes countries strong and rich, resulting in a worsening trade deficit and massive sovereign debts due to the largest wave of mass migration in history.

He added: "Many places in the world are being destroyed in front of the eyes of rulers who do not realize what is happening."

He said: "We have proven that all of this was a mistake within one year. America has experienced a transformation not seen in 100 years. Instead of closing power plants, we are building more. Instead of relying on windmills, we are shutting them down. Instead of hiring bureaucrats, we are getting rid of them, and they find jobs in the private sector at three times what they were getting in government."

He added: "We impose tariffs on foreign countries for the harm they have caused, and within 12 months, we have eliminated 270,000 federal employees from the payroll, which is the largest reduction in federal employment in history. We had no other option to make the country great."

Switzerland

During his remarks, Trump stated that this country said it "bothered him."

He said that Switzerland makes beautiful Rolex watches, but it "does not pay anything to the United States" to export them. Therefore, he imposed a tariff, prompting representatives from the country and the company to contact him and visit him, urging him to reverse his decision.

He revoked the tariffs but said he felt that the country "was exploiting" the United States. He remarked: "Most of the money they make is thanks to us because we do not impose any tariffs on them."

Macron's Glasses

Trump mocked French President Emmanuel Macron's sunglasses that he wore during his speech on Tuesday, saying: "I saw him yesterday (Tuesday) wearing those beautiful sunglasses. What the hell happened?".

"Economic Miracle"

Trump boasted that his agenda has achieved an "economic miracle" in the United States, asserting that he has refuted the predictions of skeptics who warned that his imposition of tariffs and mass layoffs of federal employees would harm the country.

He continued: "We have proven they were wrong. In one year, our agenda produced a transformation not seen in America for over 100 years."

Trump went on to brag about the success of the tariffs he imposed, claiming they are on the right track to significantly reduce the trade deficit, despite widespread concerns that they are raising prices on goods for consumers. He also claimed, without providing evidence, that federal employees who were laid off during his term are now finding better jobs in the private sector.

He stated: "They began to hate me when we laid them off, and now they love me," claiming that some of these employees are now earning salaries equal to two or three times their previous government salaries.

In his call for Europe to emulate the United States in economic policies, Trump also returned to an old obsession of his regarding windmills.

He added: "Instead of building ineffective and money-losing windmills, we are removing them and do not approve of any of them," before later denouncing them as part of the "Green New Deal scam," warning that they "destroy the land."

"A United West.. Strong Allies"

Trump added: "We deeply believe in the ties that bind us to Europe, as a civilization I want to see great, which is why issues like trade, immigration, and energy must be a concern for anyone who wants to see a united West."

He added: "Europe must break free from the culture it has shaped over the past ten years; it is terrible what they have done to themselves. We want strong allies, not weak allies." He continued: "These are national security matters, and no issue illustrates this more than what is happening in Greenland."

He went on to say: "Our country and the world face dangers from nuclear weapons and missiles. Two weeks ago, they saw weapons in Venezuela that no one had ever heard of that were unable to fire a shot at us," noting that "these defensive systems designed by Russia and China will have to go back to planning for new systems."
