European Countries Consider Halting Representatives to the U.S. Military Center in Israel
SadaNews - Diplomats have stated that several European countries are considering whether to stop sending personnel to a coordination center led by the U.S. military regarding Gaza.
They indicated in statements to Reuters that the center has not contributed to increasing the flow of aid to the war-torn sector or achieving political change.
The same sources noted that many representatives from European countries have not returned to the coordination center near the Gaza border since the New Year's holiday.
It was pointed out that Israel has not yet made any concessions regarding the entry of dual-use materials into the Gaza Strip.
The report mentioned that it is unlikely that European countries will officially withdraw from the coordination center in Gaza for fear of angering Trump.
The civil-military coordination center was established in southern Israel in October as part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza.
The center is tasked with monitoring the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), facilitating the entry of aid, and establishing post-war policies for the Palestinian sector.
