Israel Signs Agreement with Germany to Expand "David's Sling 3" Deal Worth 9.8 Billion Shekels

SadaNews: The Israeli Aerospace Industries has signed a deal worth 9.8 billion shekels (approximately 3.1 billion dollars) with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, aimed at expanding the supply of "David's Sling 3" systems for intercepting long-range missiles to Germany.

This agreement follows the previous deal to supply Germany with the "David's Sling 3" system for more than 20 billion shekels, which is considered the largest security deal in Israel's history. The announcement by the Israeli Aerospace Industries about this agreement comes as a continuation of the announcement regarding the signing of the agreement with the German government on December 17 of last year, which was ratified by the German parliament.

The Director General of the Israeli Aerospace Industries, Boaz Levi, described the continuity of the deal with Germany as reflecting a "deep trust in the capabilities of the aerospace industry and Israeli technology and in the strategic partnership between the two countries."

He added that "the ability to deliver an advanced and tested air defense system that has proven its capabilities in war, along with the commitment to a tight timeline, significantly contributes to Germany's defensive capabilities against evolving threats."

The Israeli Aerospace Industries developed the "David's Sling 3" system in cooperation with the "Homa" Directorate in the Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, "and this system is part of the Israeli Ministry of Defense's strategy to increase security exports and allows for strengthening the capabilities of Israeli defense industries," according to a statement from the aerospace industries.
