Child Killed in Shooting Incident in Nazareth

SadaNews - 16-year-old child Azmi Gharib was killed on Saturday evening after being shot in the Bilal neighborhood of Nazareth, within the territory of 1948.

Murders and acts of violence continue to escalate dangerously within the Palestinian community in the 1948 territories, with 14 murders recorded since the beginning of this year.

The year 2025 recorded an unprecedented number of murders, resulting in 252 fatalities, amid accusations of Israeli police negligence and collusion with organized crime, as well as its failure to provide safety and security for Arab citizens.

Last year also witnessed the highest number of murders of women, totaling 23 murders, in addition to 12 murders of children under the age of eighteen, as well as victims who fell to stray bullets or due to fatal errors, or during interventions by Israeli police, in a daily scene reflecting the widening scope of violence and chaos of weapons.
