Clashes in Aleppo.. and Israel condemns attacks on the Kurdish minority

SadaNews - The Syrian army is working to secure the exit of civilians wishing to leave the Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiya neighborhoods amidst intermittent clashes with the SDF forces.

Intermittent clashes occurred today, Thursday, between the Syrian army and the SDF forces in the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsood neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo.

Civilians wishing to leave the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsood neighborhoods are scheduled to exit through the Sereyn and Al-Rahman Mosque crossings, where many residents remain in the neighborhoods.

The Aleppo Governor announced a new period for civilians wishing to leave the neighborhoods towards safe areas.

The Governor of Aleppo clarified that the deadline for civilians to exit the Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafiya neighborhoods towards safe areas via the Al-Awared and Al-Zuhur Street crossings in Aleppo has been extended, noting that the exit process will continue for 3 hours from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The Syrian army emphasized that it is working to secure civilians wishing to leave the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsood neighborhoods in Aleppo.

The Syrian army warned the SDF forces against targeting civilians wishing to exit through the safe corridors in Aleppo.

On Thursday, Israel condemned the "attacks" by Syrian forces on the "Kurdish minority" in the city of Aleppo, following two days after an unprecedented joint coordination mechanism agreement between Israel and Syria after decades of conflict between the two parties.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar wrote on the "X" platform that "the attacks by the Syrian regime forces on the Kurdish minority in the city of Aleppo are serious and dangerous."

Sa'ar added that "the systematic and bloody repression of various minorities in Syria contradicts the promises of 'New Syria'".
