Colombian President: America Committed a Stain of Shame in the South
SadaNews: The Colombian president described the U.S. bombing of a capital in South America as a "terrible stain of shame that generations of the continent will not forget," stressing that what Washington did has never been done even by the most tyrannical leaders in history, such as Hitler, Franco, or Salazar.
The president added that this military action represents the first time in human history that a country has bombed a capital in South America, considering that it places the United States in an unprecedented position of international condemnation.
He emphasized that the response must come through a strong alliance of Latin American countries, saying: "Our alliance today must be above all, because the bombing targeted the dignity of the entire continent."
He also acknowledged that the unilateral alliance with China and Russia, in addition to cooperation with the current Brazilian president, has not achieved the desired results, calling for a comprehensive review of foreign policies and building a united front within the continent.
