Israeli Shelling in Southern Lebanon: Occupation Announces Targeting of a Hezbollah Member in Al-Jumayyimah
SadaNews - The Israeli army has launched a new aggression in Lebanon, announcing the targeting of a member of Hezbollah in the southern part of the country, continuing its ongoing violations since the ceasefire.
Local sources reported that "an airstrike from an Israeli drone targeted the Ain al-Mazrab area in southern Lebanon," while other sources indicated that "the Israeli airstrike targets a vehicle in the town of Tibnine."
In a brief statement, the occupying army said it had "just launched an attack on a (member) of Hezbollah in the Al-Jumayyimah area in southern Lebanon."
An agreement to cease hostilities was supposed to end an aggression waged by Israel against Lebanon in October 2023, which escalated into a full-scale war in September 2024, resulting in over 4,000 martyrs and more than 17,000 injuries.
However, since the agreement came into effect in late November 2024, Israel has committed more than 10,000 violations of the agreement, according to UNIFIL, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of Lebanese, alongside massive material damage.
Israel continues to violate the agreement by maintaining its occupation of five Lebanese hills in the south that it took control of during the last war, in addition to other Lebanese areas it has occupied for decades.
