America Allows Airlines to Resume Flights Over the Caribbean Region
SadaNews - U.S. airlines have been granted permission to fly again over the Caribbean Sea, after being banned due to the military operation carried out by the United States in Venezuela, according to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced late Saturday night.
Duffy wrote on the platform X, "The initial restrictions related to the airspace in the Caribbean region end at midnight Eastern Time (05:00 UTC Sunday), and flights can resume."
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration had "prohibited" on Saturday registered U.S. companies from flying within the entire Caribbean airspace "due to security risks (...) associated with ongoing military activity."
U.S. armed forces launched an attack and aggression against Venezuela late Friday night and apprehended President Nicolas Maduro, who was transferred to the United States and imprisoned.
