The Occupation Court Postpones the Trial of the Jerusalem Governor
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities held a new session today, Sunday, for the trial of Jerusalem Governor Adnan Ghaith.
The media office in the Jerusalem Governorate reported in a brief statement that the occupation court has postponed Governor Ghaith's trial until January 20 of this year, on the grounds that he violated military decisions issued against him previously.
Since assuming his role as Governor of Jerusalem in 2018, Adnan Ghaith has faced a series of arbitrary measures, as the occupation authorities have imposed harsh military decisions against him during this period. These included preventing him from entering the West Bank and restricting his movement to a narrow geographical area that does not exceed the boundaries of his neighborhood in Silwan. Additionally, he was banned from communicating with 51 national and official figures, including Palestinian political and security leaders.
The occupation imposed a house arrest decision on Ghaith for more than two years in his home in Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in an attempt to sever his connection with the political and national scene in the occupied capital.
