Occupation Continues to Violate Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza Strip
SadaNews - Two Palestinians were martyred, one of them a fisherman, and another fisherman was injured by Israeli army fire on Sunday, continuing the field violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The Fishermen's Syndicate reported that fisherman Abdul Rahman Abdel Hadi Al-Qann was martyred, while fisherman Yamen Khalil Al-Qann was injured in the "Fash Fash" area in the southern sector. Fadi Najib Salah was also martyred by fire from Israeli army forces in the Mousaifa area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
In the context of the violations, Israeli military machinery opened fire heavily east of Al-Bureij camp in the middle of the sector, coinciding with artillery shelling east of Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
Israeli artillery targeted areas east of Khan Younis, accompanied by the demolition of residential buildings, while warplanes launched an airstrike on the city of Rafah in the southern sector.
In terms of the humanitarian tragedy, the President of Doctors Without Borders, Isabelle Dufourny, warned of the possibility of ending the organization's operations in the Gaza Strip by next March if Israel does not reverse its decision to ban the activities of the organization and 36 other organizations, on the grounds of not providing the names of Palestinian employees according to a new legislation, describing the decision as a "flagrant violation."
Politically, the ceasefire agreement is still in its initial phase, with ambiguity surrounding the arrangements for the second phase, which includes a reconstruction path and determining the form of governance in the sector.
Since the agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, the Israeli army has committed hundreds of violations resulting in the martyrdom of 418 Palestinians and the injury of 1,171 others.
It is worth noting that the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, and lasted for nearly two years, resulted in the martyrdom of 71,384 Palestinians and the injury of 171,251 others.
