"SadaNews" Forces of the National Shield Recover Camps in Yemen's Hadhramaut
SadaNews - As the National Shield forces advance in Hadhramaut province and expand into the valley, footage emerged today, Saturday, showing those forces gathering to head towards the districts of Wadi Hadhramaut to recover the camps from the Southern Transitional Council's forces.
The National Shield forces have spread across the districts of Wadi and Desert Hadhramaut.
This comes after the National Shield forces launched from the strategic Al-Abr area in northern Hadhramaut towards the valley and entered the city of Seiyun, aiming to take control of all military sites.
They plan to move later to the city of Mukalla, the largest city in the southern part of the province, after securing the areas they have entered since yesterday, Friday.
The Hadhramaut governor, Salem Al-Khanbashi, announced yesterday evening that the tribes of Hadhramaut have asserted their control over the leadership of the First Military Region in the city of Seiyun. He explained that local authorities requested the legitimacy support coalition to target and destroy reinforcements belonging to the Southern Transitional Council before they reach the Qatn area west of Seiyun. He added that weapons and fighters were targeted in the Qatn pass and completely destroyed before reaching their destination.
The governor also called on the Transitional Council's forces and elements to evacuate the Al-Riyan airport in Mukalla immediately to ensure the safety of civilians and public facilities.
It is noteworthy that the Yemeni government, represented by the Hadhramaut governor, announced yesterday the launch of a peaceful military operation to retrieve the camps in the province, emphasizing that the operation does not target any component.
This came after the Southern Transitional Council forces refused to withdraw from the sites they occupied in the province during the attack they launched since the beginning of December on Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra.
