Ahead of Trump Meeting.. Netanyahu to Hold Session Next Thursday on the Second Phase in Gaza
SadaNews Translation - Hebrew Channel 13 reported this Tuesday evening that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a crucial discussion session next Thursday regarding the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, the Israeli army will present a plan that includes two scenarios: either to continue with Trump's plan or to resume fighting.
The session will take place less than two weeks before Netanyahu's visit to the United States and his meeting with Trump in Miami, where issues related to Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran will be discussed.
Before reaching the United States, Netanyahu had requested the security establishment in recent days to present alternatives for the next steps in Gaza, whether Israel should resume fighting or proceed to the second phase of Trump's plan.
The security establishment is expected to provide Netanyahu with operational options to prepare for the resumption of fighting if the government chooses that, given its lack of confidence in the international force aimed at disarming Hamas.
In contrast, the security establishment will also prepare a plan to implement steps from Trump's plan, including the full opening of the Rafah crossing, beginning the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and bringing in international elements to facilitate the evacuation of displaced persons.
For its part, the Yisrael Hayom newspaper reported that all operations planned on all fronts, even in Lebanon, which were supposed to continue for days have been postponed and entered a freeze phase until the Netanyahu-Trump summit at the end of this month.
