Occupation Distributes Leaflets Demanding to Lower the Volume of the Call to Prayer in the Village of Ras Tira South of Qalqilya
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation forces distributed leaflets today, Tuesday, to the people of the village of Ras Tira, south of Qalqilya, demanding that they lower the volume of the call to prayer in the village's two mosques.
Local sources reported that citizens were surprised by the incursion of the Israeli occupation forces into the eastern area of the village of Ras Tira, southeast of Qalqilya, where they distributed leaflets demanding to lower the volume of the call to prayer in the village mosques, under the pretext of disturbing the settlers of the "Alfei Menashe" settlement established on its land.
The villagers considered this step an infringement on their freedom of worship and a continuation of the policy of tightening restrictions and violations against them, especially given the threats from occupation soldiers to arrest mosque imams in case they raised the volume of the call to prayer again.
The village of Ras Tira is located southeast of the city of Qalqilya, with a population of about 700 inhabitants. Its land area is estimated at approximately 1000 dunams, classified under area C, and it is surrounded by the separation wall on all sides.
