Qatar Condemns Israel's Approval of 19 Settlements in the West Bank
SadaNews - Qatar has condemned the Israeli occupation government's approval of the establishment of 19 settlements in the occupied West Bank, considering it a blatant violation of international legitimacy, especially UN Security Council Resolution 2334, and a blatant assault on the rights of the Palestinian people.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity for the international community to fulfill its legal and ethical responsibilities to compel Israel to halt its settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The ministry reiterated Qatar's firm and permanent position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian brotherly people, based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
