Zakarneh Praises the Positions of China and France and Emphasizes the Necessity of Not Leaving the Palestinian File to Biased American Sponsorship

SadaNews - Bassam Zakarneh, a member of the Revolutionary Council of Fatah Movement, praised the clear and principled positions announced by both Chinese President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the Palestinian issue, considering them responsible and welcomed in light of the critical phase the Palestinian people are going through, especially in the Gaza Strip.

Zakarneh stated that China's announcement to provide $100 million in urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza and its support for reconstruction efforts reflects a steadfast commitment to justice and the rights of the Palestinian people, while he emphasized his appreciation for the French position calling for a two-state solution as the only path to achieve a just and lasting peace.

Zakarneh affirmed that it is wrong and dangerous to leave matters in the hands of the American side, which is clearly biased towards the Israeli occupation, pointing out that Washington has proposed plans and initiatives in recent months that do not aim to end the conflict, chief among them the Trump plan, but rather seek to strengthen the occupation and attempt to beautify its image while obliterating the two-state solution, in addition to attempts to bypass the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Zakarneh indicated that the United States has granted Israel political and military cover to continue the war on Gaza, including violating agreements regarding ceasefires and the ongoing genocide through the continuous daily killing of Palestinian people, preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, hindering reconstruction efforts, leaving hundreds of thousands of displaced people in the open air, and even preventing the entry of tents for them as well as bombing them under flimsy pretexts fully supported by Washington.

Zakarneh further added that the American administration is also working to obstruct the functioning of international courts and institutions, preventing them from holding Israeli war criminals accountable in a blatant violation of the principles of international law and human rights.

Zakarneh concluded by asserting that the Chinese and French positions today constitute a necessary balance in confronting blatant American bias and represent real support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights, calling for more international efforts to end the aggression and impose a serious political track that reinstates the two-state solution and international legitimacy.
