Security Source Warns: Iranian Arms Race Raises Concerns for Israeli Security Agencies
SadaNews - The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported, citing a security source, that Iran has entered into a rapid arms race that raises concerns for Israeli security agencies, amid estimates that Tehran is intensifying its preparations in anticipation of a potential Israeli attack on its territory.
Israeli channel "Kan" added, citing a security official, that Iran is working to accelerate the pace of armament, which is reflected in the rebuilding of the capabilities of the Houthis in Yemen, smuggling weapons to the West Bank for operational activities, as well as supplying Hezbollah in Lebanon with arms, in addition to supporting armed groups in Syria.
This comes amid rising regional tensions, where Israeli security agencies see that Iranian movements represent a direct threat to national security, increasing the likelihood of an outbreak of a large-scale military confrontation in the region.
