Belgium: The Violence of Settlers in the West Bank has Reached its Highest Level
SadaNews - The Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and Foreign Minister, Maxime Prévot, stated that the violence inflicted by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank has reached its highest level in at least 20 years.
He continued in a post on the "X" platform, today, Friday: "I strongly condemn this. I am determined to ensure the implementation of the measures decided by the Belgian government."
Prévot condemned the execution of two unarmed Palestinians by the Israeli occupation army in Jenin in the West Bank on Thursday evening.
He clarified: "While Israel is launching a new wide-ranging attack in the north, I am shocked by scenes showing Israeli soldiers coldly shooting at two civilians who had surrendered. This violence must be stopped, investigated, and addressed with strict measures. Such acts violate international law."
He added that these practices "could undermine the implementation of the 20-point plan for Gaza and seriously threaten the two-state solution."
