Report: Saudi Arabia Plans to Open Two New Alcohol Retail Stores
SadaNews - Informed sources told Reuters that Saudi Arabia intends to open two new stores for selling alcoholic beverages, one of which will cater to non-Muslim foreign employees at the giant oil company Aramco, as part of the Kingdom's efforts to ease restrictions on alcohol consumption.
The opening of a store in the city of Dhahran in the east of the Kingdom, and another for diplomats in the coastal city of Jeddah, will mark another step in the efforts led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, to promote openness.
