Video:: Settlers Burn Land North of Ramallah and Attack Farmers in Jerusalem
SadaNews - Settlers burned agricultural land this evening, Monday, between the towns of Attara and Birzeit north of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers set fire to agricultural lands in the area between the towns of Attara and Birzeit, owned by citizens from the two towns.
The sources noted that the settlers had previously established a pastoral colonial outpost in the area, and are now burning the lands with the aim of annexing them to the colonial outpost.
Settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, also attacked farmers in the town of Mukhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem governorate stated in a brief statement that settlers attacked farmers while they were plowing their lands in the town of Mukhmas, trying to prevent them from working in the area.
It added that the townspeople confronted the settlers' attack and forced them to leave, while occupation forces stormed the area to protect the settlers, firing bullets and sound and tear gas canisters at the civilians, with no injuries reported.
It is worth noting that during October, Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out a total of 2,350 assaults against citizens and their properties in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
