President Receives Secretary General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization

SadaNews - President Mahmoud Abbas received Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, this Thursday evening at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the Jordanian ambassador to the State of Palestine, Issam Al-Bdour.

The Secretary General presented to President Abbas the projects being carried out by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization to support the Palestinian people and to bring in aid to alleviate their suffering, especially in the Gaza Strip, following the persistent directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who emphasizes the importance of providing full support to the Palestinian people and their leadership in their quest for freedom and independence.

For his part, President Abbas thanked His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people for their continuous and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause in all areas, appreciating the significant role played by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization in supporting the Palestinian people, and the Jordanian state institutions in providing medical services in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, treating the wounded, and working to alleviate the suffering of our people, stressing the importance of removing Israeli obstacles to quickly deliver humanitarian aid to our people in the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from extremely difficult conditions.

He expressed the great appreciation of the Palestinian people for the brotherly Jordanian positions supporting Palestinian rights and for supporting our people's steadfastness on their land, commending the positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah rejecting displacement and supporting the Palestinian right to embody the independence of the State of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem. He also praised the role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in preserving Islamic and Christian sanctities in the Holy Jerusalem under Hashemite guardianship.
