Jordan condemns Israeli incitement statements against the establishment of a Palestinian state
SadaNews - The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the racist and inciting statements made by Israeli extremist Energy Minister Eli Cohen regarding his rejection of the establishment of a Palestinian state, and his futile attempts to promote illusions that will not affect Jordan or the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on Palestinian soil.
Official spokesperson for the ministry, Fouad Majali, confirmed that the aggressive practices and statements made by ministers of the Israeli extremist government reflect its troubled reality and highlight a desire to fabricate and exacerbate crises in a context of impunity that has solidified due to its systematic violations of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and the sovereignty of states.
He emphasized that the Palestinian state will be established on Palestinian soil along the lines of June 4, 1967, with its capital in East Jerusalem based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy decisions, and that the establishment of the Palestinian state on Palestinian soil is a historical and legal right that is not diminished by the worthless and legally ineffective statements of the Israeli energy minister and other extremist Israeli officials who deny the humanity of the Palestinian people and their legitimate right to freedom and an independent, sovereign state.
Majali also stressed that the absurd illusions of Israeli extremists will not diminish Jordan, nor undermine the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, and will not be able to change the reality of the internationally isolated Israeli government or affect the increasing international support for the two-state solution and the rights of the Palestinian people.
He called on the international community to take a clear stance condemning these statements and all Israeli racist incitement measures and statements that have no place except in the minds of extremists threatening the region’s stability and regional and international peace and security.
