Katz announced his support for the Israeli army in the West Bank and for security forces operating in the area following recent events, confirming that the Israeli government will continue to develop and increase settlement across the West Bank, in cooperation with settler leadership, while maintaining law, the security of the population, and stability in the region.

Katz added: "We will not tolerate the attempts of a few violent lawless criminals to take the law into their own hands and tarnish the image of the settler public, and we will not allow them to harm our soldiers, disrupt order, or divert forces from their missions of protecting Israeli citizens and thwarting Palestinian terrorism."
