The Walla Hebrew: Washington Insists on Moving to the Second Phase of the Gaza Agreement, While Israel Refuses
SadaNews - The Israeli Walla website reported that the U.S. administration is determined to push the agreement in Gaza towards its second phase, initiating a direct path with Hamas, launching a reconstruction process, distributing direct food aid, and introducing a multinational force, despite the fact that three Israeli bodies remain in Gaza.
The site added, "As a result of the American stance, tensions have escalated between the Israeli army and Washington, amid Israeli claims that U.S. behavior has become more acute in recent weeks."
Israeli security sources stated that the Americans recognize that their plan does not align with the current reality, whether regarding the return of all prisoners, the overthrow of Hamas's rule, or the disarmament of the Gaza Strip; nonetheless, they insist on hastening towards the second phase.
Walla revealed an intelligence assessment indicating that Hamas is regaining its strength and control over governance in Gaza, imposing taxes on traders, and recruiting new members.
The site confirmed that no country has shown a willingness to send military forces to the Gaza Strip to participate in the stability force, with each country having its own reasons, primarily the fear of soldiers being killed.
