WHO: 900 Patients in Gaza Die Due to Delay in Medical Evacuations
SadaNews - The World Health Organization announced that over 900 patients have died in Gaza due to delays in medical evacuations for treatment outside the enclave due to the Israeli blockade.
The organization clarified that about 16,500 patients are still waiting for approval to travel, including 4,000 children in urgent need of evacuation, warning that any delays for critical cases are equivalent to a death sentence.
In another context, the civil defense in Gaza said that tents have not yet been brought into the Gaza Strip, stressing the occupation's failure to comply.
It explained that what aid has entered so far does not exceed 15% of the needs, stating, "We cannot respond to many calls for help due to limited resources," while the region faces a low-pressure system that the tents cannot withstand.
