President Abbas directs the government to send a delegation to UNESCO for consultation on education curricula
SadaNews - President Mahmoud Abbas has directed the Palestinian government to send a high-level Palestinian delegation headed by the Minister of Education and Higher Education for consultations with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) regarding the alignment of Palestinian education curricula with the international standards adopted by UNESCO.
This initiative comes as part of the State of Palestine's efforts to develop education in terms of both form and content, while preserving the essence of Palestinian national consciousness, and aligning with UNESCO standards and international commitments, as stated in a presidential statement.
This directive was made during a phone call with the newly appointed Director-General of UNESCO, Khaled Anani.
