Saudi Authorities Seize "Unauthorized" Military Ranks and Insignias
SadaNews - The security committee monitoring military clothing sales and tailoring shops in the Saudi capital Riyadh confiscated "unauthorized" military ranks and insignias, and closed two stores that violated military sales and tailoring regulations.
These actions came "during an inspection campaign carried out by the committee, in collaboration with several government agencies, as part of their ongoing campaigns to control unlawful practices."
The participating agencies in the inspection included: the Ministry of National Guard, the Ministry of Commerce, the Presidency of State Security, the Riyadh Region Police, the local Passport Department, the Riyadh Municipality, and the Labor Office in Riyadh.
It is noted that "the sale or tailoring of military ranks and insignias without official authorization is considered a serious violation and undermines the dignity of the military institution."
