Martyr Following Israeli Shelling of Vehicle in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews - A Lebanese man was martyred this morning, Monday, due to an Israeli drone targeting a civilian vehicle on the main road of the town of Al-Bsayriyeh in the Sidon district of southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese media reports.
Reports indicated that the drone fired a missile at the vehicle while it was in motion, causing it to be completely engulfed in flames and killing its driver instantly amidst a state of tension in the area.
Video footage showed the immediate aftermath of the shelling, where flames engulfed the targeted vehicle amidst panic among the residents in the area.
This attack comes less than 24 hours after a similar targeting, where two Lebanese were martyred on Sunday due to Israeli drones targeting two civilian vehicles in southern Lebanon, according to local media.
Sources stated that one of the drones targeted a "pickup" vehicle on the road between Al-Sawana and Kherbet Selm, while the other targeted a civilian car in the town of Houmineh, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and the complete destruction of both vehicles.
The sources mentioned that the drone fired three missiles at the vehicle, leading to its total destruction and the immediate death of its driver, in what reports described as an "escalating aggression" against the south.
