Child Injured in Settler Assault in Hebron
SadaNews - A child was injured this evening, Thursday, in an assault by settlers in the city of Hebron.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers attacked the homes of citizens with stones in the "Khalet Natsh" area east of Hebron, resulting in injuries to the child Adam Hijazi al-Shantir in the face, after which he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a group of settlers stormed the al-Auja waterfall area north of Jericho, and began provoking the locals and foreign activists present there to support the residents.
The Bider human rights organization stated that the settlers roamed the area provocatively, insulted the locals, and attempted to prevent the presence of the activists, causing a state of tension in the area.
It added that al-Auja waterfall is one of the few natural outlets for the residents of the area, and has recently experienced repeated incursions by settlers and attempts to seize it through establishing a permanent presence.
The organization warned that the continuation of these assaults falls within a systematic policy to pressure the residents and force them to abandon the tourist and agricultural area, emphasizing the necessity of providing protection for citizens, activists, and visitors.
