Occupation Prevents Farmers from Harvesting Olives in Sinjil (Video)
SadaNews: Today, Israeli occupation forces prevented a number of Palestinian farmers from accessing their lands to harvest olives in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
This prohibition comes amid a rise in violations faced by farmers during the olive harvest season across various areas in the West Bank.
In this year's olive harvest season, Palestinians are suffering from repeated assaults carried out by settlers under the protection of the occupation army, where families are prevented from accessing their lands, crops are stolen, trees are cut down, and sometimes even burned.
These violations are not limited to vandalism but also include physical assaults on farmers, confiscation of equipment, and the imposition of strict security restrictions that hinder work in the fields. Despite all this, Palestinians insist on continuing to harvest olives, in a scene that reflects daily resilience in the face of occupation and its attempts to uproot them from their roots.
