Serious Deterioration in the Health Condition of Prisoner Mohammed Jamal Al-Natsha

SadaNews - The Prisoners' Media Office reported a serious deterioration in the health condition of the leader prisoner Sheikh Mohammed Jamal Al-Natsha (72 years old) from Hebron, who is suffering from memory loss, cognitive impairment, and chronic diseases inside Israeli occupation prisons, amid deliberate medical neglect and rejection of his transfer for necessary treatment despite the seriousness of his health condition.

The office confirmed that the continued detention of Sheikh Al-Natsha under these circumstances poses a direct threat to his life, and it constitutes a complete humanitarian crime that falls within the framework of the systematic medical negligence policy that has led to the deaths of dozens of prisoners, the latest being the martyr prisoner Mahmoud Talal Abdullah.

It added that these practices represent a blatant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which obliges the occupying authorities to provide medical care to prisoners and transfer critical cases to appropriate treatment facilities.

The Prisoners' Media Office indicated that Sheikh Al-Natsha is considered one of the most prominent national and advocacy leaders in Hebron, having been arrested dozens of times since the 1980s and spending a total of about 23 years in occupation prisons, most of which were under administrative detention without charge or trial.

The office called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and all human rights organizations to take urgent action to save Sheikh Al-Natsha's life and provide him with the necessary medical care, urging the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and halt the slow execution policy practiced by the occupying authorities against Palestinian prisoners.
