Settlers Attack Olive Harvesters in Ramallah, Nablus, and Salfit

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces, along with armed settlers, launched repeated attacks this morning, Sunday, on Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season in the provinces of Ramallah, Nablus, and Salfit in the West Bank.

In the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, settlers stormed agricultural lands in the "Wadi Ammar" area, forced farmers to leave their lands by force, and set fire to two vehicles, while the occupation forces set up a temporary military checkpoint at the town's entrance and searched several vehicles.

In the village of Rujeib, east of Nablus, settlers from "Itamar" attacked olive harvesters and prevented them from continuing to harvest their crop. Others stormed the lands of Al-Mughayir in the "Al-Hijar" area and stole olives, preventing citizens from reaching the area, while in Sinjl, they stormed the lands of the "Al-Batin" area.

In Salfit, settlers protected by the occupation forces prevented farmers and solidarity activists, including the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Minister Moyad Shaban, and Salfit Governor Mustafa Taqatqa, from participating in the olive harvest in the Al-Buq‘ah area of the village of Farkhah in the south.

During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by settlers and the occupation army, hindering farmers' access to their lands, causing significant material losses, and increasing their daily suffering.

Since October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out a total of 7,154 assaults on citizens and their properties, resulting in the martyrdom of 33 Palestinians, and the damage or uprooting of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
