The President Arrives in Egypt to Participate in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit
SadaNews - The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, has arrived in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh to participate in the peace summit scheduled to take place today, Monday, co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump. The summit, which includes presidents and leaders from more than 20 countries, will discuss ways to end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to establish peace and stability in the Middle East, as well as discussing post-war arrangements in the region. The summit will also include the participation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and European Council President António Costa. This summit is part of the plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip and achieve peace in the Middle East on September 29th.
