Exclusive Sources to SadaNews: The President Will Attend the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit Tomorrow
Exclusive to SadaNews - Special sources have informed SadaNews that President Mahmoud Abbas will attend the international peace summit scheduled to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh tomorrow, at the official invitation of his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Yesterday, a spokesman for the Egyptian presidency stated that Egypt will host an international summit at the resort of Sharm El-Sheikh on the Red Sea on Monday to finalize an agreement aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman added in a statement that the summit will be attended by more than 20 leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump.
The statement indicated "the participation of leaders from more than twenty countries".
According to the statement from the Egyptian presidency, "an international summit will be held under the title 'Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit' on Monday, October 13, 2025, with joint presidency" between el-Sisi and Trump.
Among the notable participants who have confirmed their attendance are UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
