The Government Contact Center Monitors Key Interventions Implemented by the Government During the Past Week

SadaNews -  The Government Contact Center issued its weekly report which shows the most important developmental and reform interventions implemented by the Palestinian government during the past week (05/10/2025 – 11/10/2025), as follows:

Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa stated during the operations room meeting to discuss the emergency response plan and the readiness of the room in the upcoming period: "It has been two years since the war on Gaza began, and our people have gone through difficult times. We reaffirm our commitment as the Government of the State of Palestine to our people in Gaza, and our determination to do everything we can to support them and stand by them. We also hope to reverse the path of destruction and begin a new phase of recovery and reconstruction."

The Ministry of Social Development implemented a series of integrated interventions and services across all its directorates, benefiting 1,639 families with a total value of 1,094,697 shekels. It provided 206 new and renewed health insurance services under 54,000 beneficiary cards, along with 71 interventions for persons with disabilities, which included customs exemptions, medical transfers, provision of supportive tools, and food and health assistance. Elderly interventions reached 17 interventions to provide health and social care. The Ministry also executed 129 interventions in the women's section out of 1,500 cases, including case conferences, visits, legal and advisory support, 35 childhood interventions, 157 school exemptions, and 128 interventions for kindergartens, which included licenses and field visits. Additionally, 295 interventions were made for juveniles, which included interviews, follow-ups, and mediations, while 581 orphans benefitted from various forms of support out of 11,668. In the context of community partnership, the Ministry followed up on 141 interventions for charitable associations and 147 interventions for economic empowerment, which included visits, new registrations, and follow-up on good loans projects and small initiatives. The Ministry confirms its continued efforts to unify national efforts and expand social protection services to ensure justice and care for vulnerable groups in society.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates provided briefings to international media about the catastrophic situation in Gaza, calling for urgent international action to stop the aggression and end the blockade. She also held a virtual meeting with the Committee to Defend the Lands of Silwan and representatives of neighborhoods in Jerusalem, emphasizing that the Jerusalem file is a constant priority, and that the Ministry continues to coordinate efforts to provide political, legal, and media support to bolster the resilience of Jerusalemites. Diplomatically, the Ministry valued South Africa's role in facilitating the return of detained activists from the "Convoy of Resilience," and succeeded in securing the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which included: 46 trucks through the Rafah crossing, 16 within the Kuwaiti bridge, 310 Kuwaiti trucks, and 4 trucks from the King Salman Relief Center loaded with medicines and food for children.

The Ministry of Public Works conducted road excavation and expansion works for the Janata – Khallat al-Haddad road in Bethlehem, and began the initial handover of the project to rehabilitate the Izzoun - Kafr Thalath street in Qalqilya, and paving expansions of the Al-Karama Housing Road in the Western Village - Ramallah extending 720 meters. The Ministry also began its preparations for the winter by cleaning water drains and valleys and maintaining roads to mitigate the effects of emergencies and improve traffic flow.

The Ministry of Local Government implemented several projects to rehabilitate and pave internal roads in various governorates, including: a project in Yamoun funded by the Ministry worth 600,000 shekels, a project in Ras al-Far'a in the Tubas and Jordan Valley governorate worth 100,000 dollars, in addition to a project in Duma funded by the Ministry with a contribution from the village council worth 1.3 million shekels.

The Ministry of Health transferred 6,000 units of blood and its derivatives to the Gaza Strip as part of the eighth round of the "Our Blood Is One" campaign in collaboration with the World Health Organization, supporting the injured and sick under the difficult humanitarian conditions. The Ministry also participated in the World Elderly Day activities as part of the "Our Roots Are the Origin of the Story" initiative to reaffirm its commitment to caring for the elderly and enhancing early detection and prevention programs.
