400 Aid Trucks Move to Gaza After Ceasefire
SadaNews - On Sunday morning, 400 trucks of various humanitarian aid moved from the Rafah crossing towards the Kerem Shalom and Al-Awja crossings in preparation for their entry into the Gaza Strip.
In the first hour of the move, 90 trucks passed from the Egyptian side to the crossings, ready for distributing aid in the sector.
This is the first time aid is being introduced through the Al-Awja crossing since March, due to the high number of trucks expected to enter.
Coordination is underway with the concerned parties to open the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side next Tuesday to receive injured and ill Palestinians, as well as Palestinian individuals, foreigners, and dual nationals stranded in Egypt.
These movements come after a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which took effect on Friday and is based on a plan proposed by the U.S. administration, including a cessation of hostilities, a phased withdrawal of the Israeli army, mutual prisoner release, immediate entry of aid, and the disarmament of Hamas.
The agreement allows for the unrestricted entry of all humanitarian aid according to the agreed framework, in line with the humanitarian resolution issued in January 2025, which stipulates the entry of 600 aid trucks daily into Gaza.
