Weitkoff from the Hostages' Square: Peace in the Middle East is Not Impossible
SadaNews - After visiting the Gaza Strip on Saturday morning, alongside U.S. Central Command leader Brad Cooper, U.S. envoy Steve Weitkoff stood in the Hostages' Square in Tel Aviv before thousands of Israelis.
The U.S. envoy delivered a speech stating that this gathering was for peace, expressing a wish that President Donald Trump was with him.
He added that peace in the Middle East is not impossible, emphasizing the significant role of Arab leaders in reaching a Gaza agreement.
Weitkoff also noted that Trump demonstrated to the world that power and peace are interlinked, stressing that the American president proved that courageous leadership can change the world.
Weitkoff remarked that Trump is the greatest president in the history of America, expressing gratitude to the president for promoting peace in the Middle East.
When Weitkoff spoke about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israelis responded with boos.
For his part, Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump, confirmed that the return of hostages has been a top priority for the U.S. administration for a long time.
He clarified that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu played a crucial role in the negotiations, pointing out that President Donald Trump faced the impossible Gaza agreement with full strength.
