Colonists Attack Olive Pickers in Several Districts of the West Bank

SadaNews - On Saturday, colonists attacked olive pickers in various locations across the West Bank, a scene that repeats every olive season. However, this period specifically witnesses a series of brutal assaults against citizens, reaching the point of directly firing live bullets at them, in a blatant exploitation of the distraction caused by the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

In Salfit, a group of colonists from the outpost established between the towns of Al-Zawiya and Rafat attacked farmer Sadiq Yusuf Abu Nab'a and his mother, Hajja Hamda Abu Nab'a, in addition to more than twenty farmers from the Abu Nab'a family, beating them severely.

They broke several private vehicles belonging to citizens and fired live bullets at them to force them to leave their lands.

Simultaneously, colonists attacked citizens while they were picking olives in Burqa, north of Ramallah, firing live bullets at them, forcing them to leave the area, and seizing their equipment.

In Nablus, colonists attacked olive pickers in the village of Jorish and the town of Qabalan south of Nablus, under the protection of occupation forces, preventing them from continuing their work on their lands.

Our correspondent reported that the colonists attacked olive pickers in the town of Qabalan, beating the elderly Sami Abu Saqr (70 years old) in the Hajj Wadi Isa area within the territories of the town of Qabalan, adjacent to the lands of Jorish and Qabalan.

It is noteworthy that the colonists carried out a fierce attack yesterday on the lands of the town of Beita south of Nablus, targeting olive pickers, resulting in the injury of about 36 citizens with gunfire, beatings, and asphyxiation, and the burning of about 15 vehicles in the area.

During the annual olive-picking season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated assaults by colonists and the occupation army, with farmers constantly facing attacks and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, leading to significant material losses and increasing their daily suffering under the yoke of occupation.
