Joint Statement from Foreign Ministers of Several Arab Countries Welcoming Hamas's Move on 'Trump's Plan'
SadaNews - Foreign ministers from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Arab Republic of Egypt today welcomed the steps taken by Hamas regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war on Gaza, secure the release of all hostages, both alive and deceased, and immediately start negotiations to agree on implementation mechanisms.
The foreign ministers also welcomed President Trump's call for "Israel" to cease bombings immediately and begin implementing the exchange agreement, expressing their appreciation for his commitment to establishing peace in the region. They confirmed that these developments represent a real opportunity for a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire and for addressing the critical humanitarian conditions faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, the foreign ministers welcomed Hamas's announcement of its readiness to transfer the administration of Gaza to a transitional Palestinian administrative committee of independent technocrats, stressing the need to commence immediate negotiations to agree on implementation mechanisms and address all aspects of the proposal.
The foreign ministers affirmed their joint commitment to supporting efforts aimed at implementing the terms of the proposal, working to end the war on Gaza immediately, and reaching a comprehensive agreement that ensures the delivery of all humanitarian aid to Gaza without restrictions, does not displace the Palestinian people, and does not take any steps that threaten the safety and security of civilians, facilitates the release of hostages, allows for the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza, unites the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and establishes a security mechanism that guarantees the safety of all parties, leading to a complete Israeli withdrawal and the reconstruction of Gaza, and paving the way for achieving a just peace based on the two-state solution.
