Hamas Delivers Its Response to Mediators Regarding Trump's Ceasefire Plan

SadaNews - The Hamas movement announced in a statement issued this evening, Friday, that "in order to end the aggression and genocide that our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip are facing, and based on national responsibility, as well as a commitment to our people's constants, rights, and supreme interests, we have conducted in-depth consultations within our leadership institutions, extensive consultations with Palestinian forces and factions, and discussions with our brother mediators and friends to arrive at a responsible position in dealing with President Donald Trump's plan."

It stated that "after a thorough study, the movement has made its decision and has delivered the following response to the mediators:

The statement as released by Hamas: The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas appreciates the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump, aimed at stopping the war on the Gaza Strip, exchanging prisoners, and allowing immediate humanitarian aid while rejecting the occupation of the strip and the displacement of our Palestinian people from it.

In this context, and to achieve an end to the war and complete withdrawal from the sector, the movement announces its agreement to release all living and deceased prisoners of the occupation according to the exchange formula mentioned in President Trump's proposal, while ensuring the necessary field conditions for the exchange process. In this regard, the movement confirms its readiness to enter negotiations immediately through the mediators to discuss the details of this. The movement also reiterates its agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian authority of independents (technocrats) based on Palestinian national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic backing.
