Prisoner Club: Al-Nakab Detention Center Has Become a Scene of Torture Crimes Against Detainees

SadaNews - The Prisoner Club stated that the "Al-Nakab" detention center, where the Israeli occupation authorities hold the "Freedom Fleet" activists, is considered one of the detention centers where hundreds of crimes and violations against Palestinian detainees have been documented.

The club added in a statement today, Friday, that the "Al-Nakab" detention center houses thousands of Palestinian detainees, including detainees from Gaza, noting that many have been martyred there since the onset of the genocide, including the detainee Thaer Abu Asab who died due to severe beating and torture at the hands of oppression units.

The club emphasized that the videos published again today by the extremist minister in the occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, showing his assault on activists in the Freedom Fleet and labeling them as terrorists, are not new, whether from inside "Al-Nakab" or other detention centers, as he had previously appeared in similar scenes where he described Palestinian detainees in the most horrific terms, threatened them with death, and showcased acts of abuse and humiliation against them, indicating that what happened to the activists is an extension of this policy.

The Prisoner Club stressed that the crimes and atrocities committed by the administration of the occupation's prisons surpassed all laws and international human rights norms, as Israeli camps and detention centers have become arenas for extermination in various forms, as a result of the systematic crimes committed over the past two years.

It is noteworthy that the "Al-Nakab" detention center, historically known as "Ansar 3" detention center, was established by the occupation in 1988 following the outbreak of the Stone Intifada, and thousands of detainees were held there as confrontations intensified during that period, with many having been martyred there.
