The Israeli Occupation Launches Intense Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon
SadaNews - On Friday dawn, the Israeli warplanes executed a series of intense airstrikes resembling a fire belt, targeting the forests of Ali Al-Tahir at the northern outskirts of the town of Nabatiyeh Fawqa in southern Lebanon.
The planes dropped a number of explosive shells, producing a tremendous explosion that reverberated across various southern regions, causing large fires in the forests, which were extinguished by the Lebanese Civil Defense teams, Islamic Rescue Scouts, and the Islamic Health Authority, as reported by the Lebanese National News Agency.
The airstrikes also caused damage and cracks in dozens of homes in the neighborhoods close to the targeted areas, in addition to shattering the glass of many houses and commercial shops.
This is the fourth time that the forests of Ali Al-Tahir have faced this wave of intense airstrikes since the end of the 66-day war.
Meanwhile, the Operations Emergency Center at the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced in a statement that "a sound bomb dropped by the Israeli enemy on the town of Markaba resulted in injuring a citizen."
