Al-Harbawi to SadaNews: A comprehensive strike in gold and jewelry stores tomorrow in protest against armed robbery incidents
SadaNews - Muhammad Ghazi Al-Harbawi, the head of the Palestinian Federation of Precious Metals, announced a comprehensive strike in gold and jewelry stores in the West Bank, in protest against armed robbery incidents, the latest of which targeted a gold store in the city of Hebron, resulting in the theft of a large amount of the yellow metal and leaving its owner seriously injured after being shot.
Al-Harbawi stated to "SadaNews" that the strike came after the rise in armed robbery operations against gold and jewelry stores, especially since none of the stolen items in all these incidents have been recovered, which has become increasingly intolerable.
He confirmed that the Palestinian Federation of Precious Metals can no longer tolerate the situation, which has become unbearable, holding the security forces responsible for what is happening, while at the same time expressing his confidence in them to pursue these rogue elements, recover the stolen items, and impose the harshest penalties on them.
Regarding the robbery incident at the Shanter stores in Tulkarem over a year ago, Al-Harbawi said, "We received assurances from the security forces to arrest the perpetrators of this incident, but until now the stolen items have not been returned, and the perpetrators have not been arrested."
