Trump: The Gaza Plan is More Than Just Ending the War
SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that his plan for Gaza "aims to be more than just ending the war in the sector".
Trump stated in an interview with the American news site "Axios": "The goal is to resume a broader push for peace in the region".
He added: "If we accomplish that, it will be a great day for Israel and for the Middle East. This will be the first opportunity for real peace in the Middle East. But we must achieve that first".
Trump confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supports his plan, but the Israeli government has not officially commented on it.
Trump and Netanyahu are scheduled to meet on Monday to discuss the Gaza plan, which consists of 21 points.
