Trump: We Have a Real Opportunity to Achieve Something Great in the Middle East
SadaNews - US President Donald Trump hinted on Sunday about the possibility of a breakthrough regarding the Middle East crisis and the war on Gaza, confirming that "everyone is ready for something remarkable," just before the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.
Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, "We have a real opportunity to achieve something great in the Middle East."
He added, "Everyone is ready for something remarkable, unprecedented. And we will achieve that."
Trump had stated on Friday in front of reporters in Washington, "I think we have an agreement" regarding Gaza.
On the same day, Netanyahu reiterated his rejection of the creation of a Palestinian state before the United Nations General Assembly, while pledging to "accomplish the mission" against Hamas, just days after the United Kingdom, France, and other Western countries recognized the State of Palestine.
Netanyahu is set to meet Trump at the White House on Monday.
According to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, the ongoing Israeli war has resulted in 66,005 deaths, the majority of whom are civilians.
