
Israeli Injured in Alleged Car Ramming East of Qalqilya and 'Neutralization' of the Perpetrator
SadaNews - An Israeli was injured today, Sunday, in the area of Ras during an alleged car ramming incident near the village of Jit east of Qalqilya, according to Israeli medical sources, while it was announced that the "perpetrator" was "neutralized".
A medical team confirmed that the Israeli's injury is serious, while occupation soldiers opened fire on the Palestinian driver, claiming he carried out the attack, with his health condition remaining unknown.
The Israeli army radio stated that an Israeli was "seriously injured as a result of a car ramming near the settlement of 'Kadumim', and the perpetrator has been neutralized".
It quoted an Israeli security source as saying, "This appears to be a car ramming incident, and the (perpetrator) has been neutralized, with a large force of the Israeli army rushing to the scene".
In an initial statement, the occupation army said, "A report concerning an incident at the Jit junction has been received, and details are under investigation".
An anonymous security source stated that "an investigation is underway into the possibility that the injured individual was hit as a result of Israeli army fire directed at the (perpetrator) at the scene".
An Israeli medical team that reached the site of the alleged incident indicated that "a car-ramming incident occurred in the area of the Jit junction, near 'Kadumim', where a truck collided with an Israeli vehicle".
The team added, "In response to this, gunfire was exchanged, and the suspect was neutralized".
The statement also noted that "there is an Israeli suffering from serious injuries, and he was assisted by 'Magen David Adom' vehicles", adding that "the circumstances of his injury are under investigation".
