Erdogan: Israel Kills a Child in Gaza Every Hour for 23 Months

SadaNews - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, stated that Israel kills a child in Gaza every hour for the past 23 months.

Erdogan called on all countries to recognize the State of Palestine. He noted that "the genocide has been ongoing in Gaza for 700 days."

He continued: "The people of Gaza are being killed by the weapon of starvation," adding, "There is no justification for the continued brutality in Gaza."

Erdogan said: "We are experiencing the darkest period for humanity as the genocide continues in Gaza... Everything in Gaza is being targeted and destroyed."

The Turkish president stated that Israel has gone out of control, and that Netanyahu does not care about the hostages.

He said that the values called for by Europe are eroding with the continuation of what is happening in Gaza, stressing the need to "hold accountable those responsible for the genocide in Gaza."

Regarding the Syrian issue, Erdogan considered that the grievances suffered by Syria ended with the fall of the Assad regime. He confirmed that work will be done "towards a unified and terrorism-free Syria," and also emphasized that "the stability of Syria is in the interest of all neighboring countries."
